Shipping and Inventory Specialist

 â€‹

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Inventory Specialist to join our team. Responsible for daily shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Collaborates with our production team and management to maintain an efficient and organized inventory and shipping process.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and oversee restocking to ensure stock availability.

  • Handle daily shipping and receiving tasks, including packing and coordination with shipping providers.

  • Communicate effectively with production managers, supervisors, and account managers to facilitate smooth operations.

Experience & Qualifications

 

  • One year of relevant work experience in inventory management, shipping, or a similar field.

  • Strong understanding of inventory processes and shipping logistics.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy.

  • Proficient in Office 365 and NetSuite experience is a plus.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Can collaborate effectively with team members and management to achieve production goals.

  • Desire to grow into a more independent role with responsibilities instructing others.

Production Maker

The Production Maker will fabricate and assemble products with a high degree of craftsmanship and quality for our contract manufacturing lines.

 

Scope of work may include assembly, wiring, testing, hand-finishing, coloring, polishing, soldering, machining parts, tool- and jig-making, welding, and other relevant aspects of metal and lighting fabrication as required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

 

  • Use machines and tools safely and appropriately

Operations Manager

​

Reports to Owner

Implements Owners vision for the company, oversees all aspects of staffing, training, and company logistics.

 

Duties may include but are not limited to:

 

Human Resources

​

  • Responsible for employee management & retention.

  • Facilitate staffing needs, hiring, onboarding, reviews, retention, removal & succession.

  • Maintain safe workspace, issue maintenance, planning & problem solving.

  • Work with Owner to determine & implement compensation packages.

  • Encourage growth and positive staff morale.

  • Conduct employee reviews.

 

Administrative

​

  • Oversee all software and hardware.

  • Create and maintain all Microsoft 365 users.

  • Troubleshoot basic I.T. issues, interface with outside IT service provider when necessary.

  • Train employees on CML software usage and policies.

  • Communicate with outside vendors.

  • Manage incoming calls & email to the Main number/email.

  • QuickBooks data entry; sales orders, work orders, purchase orders, invoices, item receipts, inventory items, builds etc.

  • Excel data entry and information management.

  • Review and proof documents.

  • Assist managers in specific projects.

  • Order shop and office supplies.

  • Follow safety protocols & wear PPE where necessary.

  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work environment.

  • Lead & participate in Company meetings.

 

Qualifications

Production Maker & Lead

The Production Maker & Lead will fabricate and assemble products with a high degree of craftsmanship and quality for our contract manufacturing lines, they will act as a point person for training and knowledge to specific lines and processes and oversee the workflow, parts and staffing needs of specific line production.

 

Production skills may include welding, soldering, tool- and jig-making, machining parts, hand-finishing and coloring, polishing, wiring, testing, and other relevant aspects of metal and lighting fabrication as required. Lead skills will include excel, QuickBooks data entry and extrapolation, human leadership, and work funnel management.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The Custom Maker and Metal worker will fabricate projects with a high degree of craftsmanship and consistently excellent quality. Tasks may include welding, soldering, tool- and jig-making, machining parts, hand-finishing and coloring, polishing, wiring, testing, and other relevant aspects of metal and lighting fabrication as required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Use machines and tools safely and appropriately

Shop Manager​​
 

The shop manager will oversee use and management of the shop spaces and tools, act as staff liaison and aid in production.

 

Skills will include personnel management, data entry, adaptation to growth and change, and use of tools and machinery.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Act as liaison between business manager, production managers, makers, and technicians

  • Proactively contribute to positive team atmosphere

  • Peacefully resolve emerging staff concerns and issues, and provide guidance as needed to production managers

  • Aid in training where applicable

  • Participate in meetings ensuring success of team roles and responsibilities

  • Act as Safety Officer, ensuring VOSHA compliance and company policies and procedures

  • Oversee maintenance of tools and equipment

  • Receive and distribute deliveries and process shipments as needed

  • Ensure UL compliance

  • Practice LEAN Manufacturing methodology

  • Data entry in QuickBooks

  • Maintain shop cleanliness and organization

Lead Generator & Sales Account Manager

​​

The Lead Generator and Sales Account Manager will build our production sales department from the ground up.  A true go getter, you enjoy building long term relationships, can share information clearly and honestly, think outside the box and will close sales.

​

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Develop new business via telephone, email and social media

  • Identify and qualify appropriate buyers within the target market

  • Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects

  • Build and cultivate relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications to move opportunities through the sales funnel

  • Work with business leadership to develop and grow the sales pipeline and consistently meet revenue goals

  • Manage data for clients, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate, and documents are attached

  • Collaborate with interoffice personnel to generate estimates, quotes, and proposals for acquired business opportunities 

  • Communicate client needs and concerns clearly and effectively 

  • Schedule and lead meetings as needed

Experience & Qualifications:

  • At ​least 4 years of sales experience required
